The depth of the visiting Oberlin College Yeowomen proved too large an obstacle to overcome as John Carroll fell, 141-96, in a non-conference dual meet that marked the Blue Streaks' first competition of the 2010 calendar year.

Results

Heidi Benson accounted for two of John Carroll's three wins, touching first in both the 1000 Free (11:10.96) and the 500 Free (5:32.53). Her two wins were by a combined margin of over 18 seconds.

Rachel Mizner supplied the Blue Streaks with a third win, outdueling Danica Watson in the 100 Free by .08 of a second (57.05 to 57.13).

Julia Adams and Lauren Singley both had close calls all evening. Adams had two second place showings (200 Medley Relay and 200 IM) and one third (200 Back), while Singley was second on both boards in the diving competition.

With the loss -- its second to Oberlin this season -- John Carroll falls to 4-6 on the year
