John Carroll To Host Second Annual High School Baseball Skills Camp October 10

Schweickert Field will be the host site of JCU's second annual High School Skills Camp
The John Carroll University baseball program will host is second annual Skills Camp for high school players at Schweickert Field on Sunday, October 10, 2010.

The camp will cover all the aspects of the game of baseball through skill instruction and player evaluation. The John Carroll admission department will also provide a presentation along with an opportunity to tour campus.

"Our staff and program are very excited to see local and national players visit our facility," said head coach Marc Thibeault. "We promise to work tirelessly to teach the proper techniques of playing college baseball."

John Carroll's first camp held in October of 2009 attracted 35 players, a number Thibeault hopes to build upon in 2010.

"Along with incorporating the fundamentals of JCU baseball, campers will have the unique opportunity to familiarize themselves with our strong academic tradition and campus life," said Thibeault. "The experience was a positive one for both those who attended as well as those who hosted, as six of our group last year eventually enrolled at John Carroll."
