The host squad scored in the first half when, in the 30th minute, the visiting team was unable to clear the ball after a corner kick.Lindsay Henderson gathered the ball and found Allie Schlemitz for a 1-0 lead.
The Streaks had opportunities but could not cash in. The backbreaker came in the 72nd minute when Schlemitz once again struck, this time when she outplayed the defense for a ball in the air.
Otterbein (4-4-1, 1-0 OAC) outshot John Carroll, 12-9.
The loss dropped the Blue Streaks to 6-5 overall and 1-1 in league play.
