Saturday afternoon in New Concord, it was Mariusz Trzeciak who provided the waning moment magic. His goal with 63 seconds remaining in regulation proved to be the game winner in a 1-0 victory over Muskingum.

JCU outshot Muskingum 19-6, held a 6-0 advantage in corner kicks and limited the Muskies to zero shots on goal, but it took Trzeciak's goal off an assist from Brian Potocnik to secure the win.

By virtue of a Baldwin-Wallace loss to Ohio Northern, John Carroll assumes first place alone in the Ohio Athletic Conference. This is the first time since 2005 that the Blue Streaks have had sole possession of first place after five games have been played in the league regular season schedule.
