Streaks Run Streak To Seven Consecutive Wins With Shutout Of Student Princes

Box Score John Carroll sits atop a league where two of its closest pursuers are nationally ranked. The Blue Streaks are not even ranked in the region.

Controlling only what they can, the Streaks continue to go about the business of winning as they ran their streak to seven consecutive victories with a 2-0 triumph over host Heidelberg University Wednesday evening in Tiffin, Ohio.

Mariusz Trzeciak broke a scoreless tie in the 60th minute with his fourth goal of the season. Kevin Mckamish added an insurance goal in the 71st minute.

The offense was in support of another solid effort by goalkeeper Carl Contrascier, who has allowed just five goals (one of which was a penalty kick) in the last ten matches. Contrascier faced ten shots and made five saves on the night for his fifth shutout of the year

JCU, which has lost just one game (2-1 to #4 ranked Ohio Wesleyan) since starting out the year 1-4, improved to 8-2 on the road on the year
