Genny Goergen came through after a weather delay with the only goal the Blue Streaks would need at Heidelberg
Box Score Lightning streaked through the night sky, but even a force of nature could not stop the Blue Streaks from getting a 1-0 win on the road against Heidelberg University.

Before the lightning delayed the game for 53 minutes, John Carroll had already established a 7-0 lead in shots taken.

Colleen Harmon. Goergen's goal was her fourth goal this season.
Even though that was the only point on the scoreboard, John Carroll remained to be the dominating force on the field. The Blue Streaks powered their way through the Berg causing Heidelberg's goalie, Molly Schriber, to work hard with ten saves.
By the end of the half, John Carroll was ahead in shots 14-0 and at the end of the game 25-3.
Heidelberg has now dropped to 5-9-1 overall and 2-4 in the OAC. John Carroll has now improved to 11-5 overall, and 5-1 in the OAC.
JCU has reeled off five consecutive wins, all shutouts, since their last loss -- a 2-0 setback at Otterbein on October 1.
