Not Exactly Revenge But Still A Sweet Victory As JCU Women's Soccer Blanks Quakers

Lexi Korczynski and the JCU defense shut out its second opponent in as many games
Box Score Revenge is a tricky subject, given that the circumstances of a past event are difficult to replicate.
So to say that John Carroll exacted a bit of revenge for its early exit from the 2010 Ohio Athletic Conference tournament at the hands of the Wilmington College Quakers by blanking those same Quakers by a 2-0 count this afternoon would be a stretch.
That being said, the victory was still a sweet one as far as the Blue Streaks were concerned.

Box Score

Continuing its near flawless play at Shula Stadium, where the Blue Streaks are now a perfect 6-0 this season, John Carroll used goals in each half by Colleen Harmon to supply the necessary points to support the lock down defense employed by the veteran Blue Streak backs.
Lexi Korczynski and Haley McDonald combined for five saves to preserve the shutout.

JCU is now 8-5 overall and 2-1 in the OAC. Wilmington falls to 4-6-3 overall and 2-1 in league play.

In its last ten matches dating back to last season, the Blue Streaks are 8-0-2 at Shula Stadium and have outscored their opponents by a 25-4 margin.
