The Blue Streaks were looking to build a winning streak after a 6-1 win over league rival Marietta this past Friday.
The first half of the game resulted with both teams going in to intermission tied at null. In the 49th minute, Oberlin stunned John Carroll by racing through its defense for the first score of the game.
The Blue Streaks had to make something happen, and they did.
A misplay by the Oberlin defense gave John Carroll the perfect opportunity.

The next 22 mins of play was a back and forth battle. The Yeowomen were unable to get the ball past JCU keeper
Lexi Korczynski, and the Blue Streaks were able to make some magic happen.
In the 88th minute, Kaylin Akerly dribbled at the top of the box and sailed in over the keepers head, giving the Blue Streaks the game winning goal.
The Blue Streaks outshot the Yeowomen 20-11.
John Carrol, now 6-4, will take on OAC foe Otterbein University on October 1 in Westerville.
