JCU Women Send Senior Swimmers Out In Style With Victory Over CrossTown Rival

Senior Day at the Johnson Natatorium could not have gone much better for the John Carroll women's swimming & diving team, as the Blue Streaks pasted Baldwin-Wallace College, 142-90, to finish the season on a winning note.

Results

After the meet opening 200-Yard Medley Relay to begin the meet, John Carroll swimmers took first in the next three events to take a commanding lead over the Yellow Jackets.

Among the individual winners for the home team were Julia Adams (11:32.31 in 1,000 Free), Victoria Watson (2:02.74 in 200 Free), and Karyn Adams (25.78 in 50 Free).

Danielle Ketterer finished second in the 1 Meter Diving, accumulating a score of 219.35.

Upon resuming the swimming portion of the meet, John Carroll kept rolling.

First, Brittany Krauth topped the field in the 200 Butterfly (2:20.01).  Then, it was Karyn Adams again, winning the 100 Free with a time of 55.91.  Not to be outdone by her sister, Julia Adams won the 200 Backstroke (2:16.55), before Rachael Libertin rounded out the individual wins in the 500 Free (5:36.04).

The 200-Yard Freestyle Relay team of Maggie Donoghue, Emma Atkinson, Rachael Libertin, and Victoria Watson put an exclamation point on the team victory with a trip to the winner's circle.
