JCU Men's Soccer Runs Unbeaten Streak To Six With Rally At Mount Union

Box Score An early Mount Union goal did not hold up as the John Carroll men's soccer team continued its second half surge witha  come-from-behind 2-1 win at Mount Union Wednesday evening.

The victory pushed John Carroll's unbeaten streak to six consecutive matches

Joey Trocchio put Mount Union on the scoreboard in the 15th minute, but John Carroll's Brian Potocnik answered in the 33rd minute thanks to an assist from Nathan Sharbaugh to knot the score at 1-1.

The game remained deadlocked until the 52nd minute, when Sharbaugh netted the game-winning point. It was first career match-winning goal.

Since a 3-2 loss at Wooster on September 19, John Carroll has gone 5-0-1 and has now pushed its record on the year to 7-5-1 overall and 3-0-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference. Mount Union falls to 3-7-1 overall and 1-3 in league play.
