After 90 minutes, the John Carroll men's soccer team erased a recent trend, winning its second game in a row, and first in regulation since September 5th.
The 1-0 Blue Streak triumph snapped a string of four consecutive overtime matches and improved JCU's 2012 home record to 4-0.

Brian Potocnik provided all of the scoring needed, as he took a strong cross from junior
Jon Smola, set himself, and snuck a low shot into the far corner of the Kenyon net in the 14th minute. Smola picked up the assist on the play.
After the goal, the Blue Streaks continued to control the action, outshooting the Lords 17-4 while holding a decisive advantage in time of possession. Eight different players had at least one shot for the home team.
With 76 minutes to protect its lone goal, JCU's defense was suffocating. Excellent play by
Boban Cancar, Jeff DeMarchi,
Liam Switalski, Drew Mestelski, among others, thwarted Kenyon's offense time after time.
With the victory, the Blue & Gold move to 4-5 on the season, while the Lords fall to 4-4-1 in 2012.
The Streaks open Ohio Athletic Conference play on Saturday, September 29, when they host Capital University at 3:30 p.m.
