A pair of goals in the opening seven minutes paced John Carroll to an impressive 3-0 road win at Marietta Saturday afternoon.

The shutout enabled the Blue Streaks to maintain sole possession of first place in the Ohio Athletic Conference with two weeks remaining in the regular season.

Reigning OAC Player of the Week Brian Potocnik struck for the first of his two goals just 4:13 into the match. Then, at the 6:01 mark, Dalton Browsky added his name to the tally sheet for a 2-0 Blue Streak advantage.

With the lead, the Blue Streaks were relentless as they outshot the host Pioneers by a whopping 30-5 advantage. Potocnik closed out the scoring in the 86th minute with his league-leading 13th goal of the season.

Derek Jenkins made four saves for his fourth shutout of the year, improving to 9-1 as the starting keeper for the Blue Streaks.

John Carroll, now 12-3 on the season, won its ninth consecutive match -- the longest winning streak for the program since the 2005 squad won nine in a row before falling to Fredonia State in the NCAA playoffs that year.

Marietta falls to 5-8 overall and 3-2 in the OAC
