The John Carroll men's soccer team had one more chance to tune up before preparing for the conference tournament.
On Saturday, they put on a show.
Jesse Marinaro led the way with two goals as the Blue Streaks shut out Muskingum, 5-0, in New Concord, Ohio.
Marinaro's two goals give him 10 on the season; this is the third straight season that the Blue Streaks have had a double-digit goal scorer.
JCU racked up three goals in the first 14 minutes. Jacob Lombardo scored an unassisted goal in the third minute, setting the tone for the rest of the game.
Marinaro punched an unassisted shot from the top of the box to the far post in the tenth minute, recording his ninth goal of the year. In the 14th minute, Kevin Pachuta took a rebound off of Kirk Ring's shot and made the score 3-0.
Marinaro's free kick found its way inside the far post in the 49th minute and extended the lead to 4-0. Justin Miller capped off the scoring in the 63rd minute, finishing off a corner kick.
JCU outshot Muskingum, 33-9. Zach Fehrenbach and Liam McIntosh only faced four total shots on goal.
