The John Carroll University men swimming and diving team used momentum from last week to take its second straight victory, beating the Allegheny Gators, 126-97. The Blue Streaks have defeated the Gators the past two seasons.

The men's team took second in the opening event, the 200 Medley Relay. The team of Jack Garrow, Corey Kehm, Egan Paul and Brian Hulseman touched in at 1:40.07.
The Blue Streaks carried the momentum into the 200 Free, as the Blue and Gold swept first, second and third place. David Kirtek snagged first with a time of 1:48.10, while Brian Hulseman (1:49.39) and John Scantling (1:51.53) took second and third, respectively.
Ben Parker then took second place in the 400 IM with a time of 4:31.34.
Brian Hulseman snagged first in the 100 Butterfly with a time of 55.81, and Corey Kehm touched in at 56.59 to take 3rd.
In the 100 Free, John Scantling snatched 3rd with a time of 50.67.
The Blue Streaks swept the board in the 100 Backstroke with Jack Garrow (54.81), David Kirtek (56.14) and Alec Bryson (58.65) taking first, second and third, respectively.
In the 1-meter dive, Douglas Hinchen took home first place with a score of 146.85, thriving as the lone diver. In the 3-meter dive, Hinchen excelled again taking home 1st place.
Parker also grabbed first place in 500 Free with a time of 4:48.42.
Scantling, Peter Neal, Tom Pacak and Ryan Singler capped off the JCU men's victory with a second place finish in the 200 Free Relay.
The Blue Streaks return to action on Saturday in the Johnson Natatorium to take on the Purple Raiders of Mount Union at 1 p.m.
