The John Carroll University men's lacrosse team continued to roll at home on Saturday evening.

John Carroll scored a season-high 20 goals in its 20-8 win over Wilmington. The win marked the third straight at home for the Blue Streaks.

Declan O'Grady led the way. The sophomore netted five goals for the second straight game and now has a team-leading 32 for the year. The attacker needed just 13 seconds to put home the game's first score.

The Blue Streaks struck quickly again with
Gary Anile scoring the first of his three goals with 13:53 remaining in the first quarter.

Wilmington's Devon Maki halved John Carroll's lead before the Blue and Gold scored five straight to close out the first quarter.
Collin Rice and
Logan Calhoun each netted a goal in the final 18 seconds of the period.

O'Grady had a hand in the Blue Streaks' first three goals of the second quarter. The sophomore netted the first before setting up
Stephen Leous for a pair of scores. John Carroll would carry an 11-4 lead into the intermission.

JCU scored three straight goals to open up a 10-goal margin to start the second half. O'Grady, Anile and Alex Leuz scored for the Blue and Gold.

JCU would score once more in the third and five times in the fourth.

John Carroll dominated the stat sheet winning 26 of 32 faceoffs. Individually,
Kyle Patterson won 24 in 26 attempts.

The Blue Streaks finished with a 56-30 shot advantage and a 47-20 edge on ground balls. Individually, two Blue Streaks finished with at least six ground balls in Patterson (10) and Anile (6).

Coincidently, John Carroll's previous two top goal tallies for the year also occurred inside Don Shula Stadium. The Blue and Gold scored 18 goals against Olivet on March 28 and followed with 17 against Washington & Jefferson on Wednesday.

The men's lacrosse team travels to Baldwin Wallace for a 7 p.m. contest on Wednesday, April 15.
