With arms at a premium both ways Allegheny would come out on top of No. 24 John Carroll in a 3 hour, 20 minute affair 16-10. The game marked John Carroll's seventh over the last five days.

Allegheny scored first in the top of the first inning. Jacob Shick laced a two-out single to left field to give the Gators the early 1-0 lead.

John Carroll tied the game in the bottom of the second.
Mike Raschilla recorded JCU's first hit of the game drilling a two-out double to right center.
Jacob Schriner followed hooking a single in down the left field line to plate Raschilla.

Allegheny scored two runs in the third on Joe Killian's RBI fielder's choice and Shick's RBI ground out. The Gators pushed the lead to 9-1 with a six-spot in the fourth inning.

John Carroll countered with a five-run fourth to make the score 9-6.
Tyler Gentile started the frame with a walk and advanced to second on a stolen base. Raschilla gave the Blue Streaks a second base runner reaching base via a hit by pitch. Schriner drove in his second run of the game with a single through the left side for the inning's first run.

Dante Palmieri driving in the second run of the frame with a single through the right side. Pinch hitter
Joey Greco followed with a single up the middle to plate Schriner. Palmieri came in on a balk before
Bobby Sabatino hit a grounder for the frame's last run.

Allegheny pushed the score to 13-6 with a run in the fifth and four in the sixth.

John Carroll tried to make a comeback in the sixth striking for three runs to close the deficit to four. Molnar came in to score on an error. Gentile delivered the big hit with a two-run, one-out triple to dead center.

Allegheny kept the comeback at bay with a three-run seventh inning.

Mark Huddle drove in Gentile for the game's final run in the eight.

Schriner led the way at the plate. The catcher went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored. Raschilla and Gentile also had big days at the plate. Raschilla went 3-for-4 with two runs. Gentile went 2-for-4 at the plate with two runs and two RBIs.

Newman took the loss falling to 0-1 on the year. The freshman right-hander allowed three runs (two earned) on two hits. Walks played a key role again as the Blue Streaks issued nine free passes on the day.

Allegheny improved to 12-11 with the win while John Carroll 19-9.
