John Carroll coaches were scrambling across the state of Ohio Friday and Saturday, guiding athletes to strong finishes in three different locations.

Findlay ClassicEmily Jenkins lowered her own school record at the Findlay Classic. In the semifinals of the 60-meter dash, Jenkins ran the race in 7.90 to break her mark of 8.02 set last week. In the final, she ran a 7.96 to place fourth.
The 4 x 400 Relay of
Alyssa Biedron,
Joy Nyaanga,
Sara Martinko and
Noelle Saluan finished third in 4:07.40.
Alainna Schmidt was eighth in the 600-meter run in 1:46.61, while Jessica Swisher was tenth in 1:48.15.
Swisher had a great effort the night before at baldwin Wallace, where she placed second in the pole vault by clearing 2.90 meters.
At the SPIRE Midwest Open, three Blue Streaks had solid showings in very strong fields.
Schasia Modrzynski was fifth in the 5000-meter in 17:39.29, whiel teammate
Erin Kiley finished eighth in  18:06.31.
In the 3000-meter run,
Becky Rohwer was 21st overall and third amongst Division III runners with a time of 10:42.39
