There are JCU swimming alums who probably never thought they would see a day when the Blue Streaks would best the Allegheny College Gators.
Even the year John Carroll won the Presidents Athletic Conference in 1981, the Gators edged the Blue Streaks by a single point in the regular season dual meet.
Friday night in Meadville, John Carroll would defeat Allegheny for the third time in a row, this time by a 130-104 count.

After Allegheny won the first two races, the Blue Streaks turned on the jets. Trailing 23-13, John Carroll got a win by
Tom Pacak in the 200 Free (1:46.09).
David Kirtek took third and
Brian Hulseman fourth to pull John Carroll back into the thick of things.
Jack Garrow continued in his quest to regain his form from a year ago by winning a closely contested 200 IM. Trailing entering the final leg (the 50 Free), Garrow had a spirited charge that earned him the win, clocking in at 2:07.64.Â
John Carroll would seize the lead for good in the four events. Ryan McClellan and
Douglas Hinchen went 1-2 in 1-meter diving,
Jackson Cooper led a 1-3-4 charge by winning the 100 Fly (53.34), Kirtek led a similar 1-3-4 effort by winning the 100 Free (49.32), and the duo of Garrow and
Alec Bryson went 1-2 in the 100 Back.
The victory moved the Blue Streaks overall record to 4-1 on the season -- its best dual meet start since the undefeated 2003-04 season.
