John Carroll men's basketball found their stride in the second half, winning against La Roche College on Saturday afternoon, 107-82.
Matthew Csuhran led JCU in scoring with 22 points and shot 5-6 on three pointers.
John Cirillo added 19 points and was one rebound away from a double-double.
La Roche came out firing as they opened the game on a 7-0 run. The run would end with a
Doug Caputo layup. That would be the only basket from a starter until senior David Linane buried a three pointer with 8:26 remaining making the score 25-16 in favor of La Roche.
Antonio Vuyancih found himself a new role running the point guard position for the second unit. Vuyancih thrived in the first half as he scored nine points and had two assists.

John Cirillo led the Blue and Gold in the first half with 10 points and five rebounds shooting 60 percent from the field.
With six seconds remaining in the half Linane drove to the hole and kicked the ball out to
Tim Ludlow, who made the three pointer, giving JCU a 43-41 lead heading into the break.
At the half, La Roche shot 50 percent, making seven three-pointers, John Carroll thrived at the free throw line, converting 13-of-15; compared to the Redhawks, who shot two and made zero.
John Carroll opened the second half on a 16-1 run, forcing two Redhawk timeouts in a five minute span.
Ludlow got John Carroll off to a hot start in the half as he drained a three pointer. On the ensuing inbounds pass Ludlow stole the ball and got an easy layup putting JCU up 48-41.
Csuhran found his stride midway through the second half as he scored eight consecutive points for the Blue and Gold.
John Carroll was leading 75-64 with 8:56 remaining when JCU went on a 14-2 run to take a 89-66 lead with 6:13 remaining. Csuhran had two three pointers during the run.
Csuhran, Cirillo, Vuyancih, Linane and Ludlow all scored over 10 points. This was the first time this season JCU was able to score over 100 points. Last season, the Blue Streaks eclipsed that number six times.
"As a team we came together, whether you are on the first unit or second unit we have the same responsibility," said Csuhran. "We play the game with 110 percent effort. I credit my teammates, Tony [Vuyancih] is able drive and kick very effectively and I wait for him to kick the ball to me for my shots."
John Carroll will be at home next Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. as they take on Hope College, who came into the season ranked #23 in the nation.
