John Carroll moved to .500 in Ohio Athletic Conference play with a dominant performance over WIlmington College on Sunday afternoon in University Heights.
John Carroll outscored the Fightin' Quakers, 33-2, in the twin bill. JCU improves to 10-13 overall and 3-3 in the OAC. Wilmington drops to 5-17, and 1-5 in the OAC.
Aaron Zawadski had five RBI on the day.
Mike Raschilla also had five RBI, and
Monroe Donnelly contributed four runs.
Game One - John Carroll 16, Wilmington 0
John Carroll scored ten runs in the first two innings as the bats came alive in a 16-0 victory in game one.
Aaron Zawadski was 2-for-4 with a double and 5 RBI. His bases-clearing double down the left-field line in the second inning made it a 10-0 game.
Dominic Mittiga,
Mike Raschilla, and
Patrick Scholla each had a pair of RBI, with
Monroe Donnelly driving in one as well.
John Bondi was 3-for-4 at the plate, scoring once. Both of Mittiga's RBI came on sacrifice flies.
John Carroll recorded 11 hits in the game. Wilmington was held to six hits, and committed three errors.

Monroe Donnelly each had a stolen base.
Monroe Donnelly started the scoring in the first with an RBI single. Scholla plated a pair on a single to center, followed by a two-run Zawadski single.
The Blue Streaks plated six more runs before a four-run sixth.
Drew Vargo went eight innings, giving up just six hits. The senior southpaw struck out three.
James Molnar pitched a perfect ninth, striking out a pair.
Game Two - John Carroll 17, Wilmington 2
A four-run first inning propelled John Carroll to a 15-1 victory over WIlmington in game two.
The Blue Streaks scored four in the first and nine in the second, making it five multi-run innings against the Wilmington staff on the day.
Patrick Keohane (two),
Nathan Reich (three), and
Monroe Donnelly (three) each had multiple RBI at the top of the JCU lineup.
Mike Raschilla and
Derek Penman each had three RBI as well.
Jake Servidio improves to 2-2 on the year after five innings of three-hit ball, allowing one run.
Cameron Mayle,
Steven Virost,
Nathaniel Wenson, and
Mark Materise shut down the Wilmington lineup, allowing one run in four innings of work.
Wilmington took a 1-0 lead on a Josh Chua single to right center. In the first, John Carroll took the lead for good with a Reich double to left center and a
Monroe Donnelly single to left field. Penman capped off the inning with a two-run single to right field.
In the fourth, Keohane and Reich each plated a pair with RBI doubles to right field. The nine-run inning ended with a Raschilla single up the middle.
JCU scored two more when a passed ball sent home
Jason Large and an error scored another in the bottom of the eighth.
Next up for JCU is a doubleheader with Mount Union in Alliance on Tuesday.
