John Carroll University Department of Athletics and Recreation announced that the department entered into a multi-year deal with Under Armour, who will be the official outfitter for the 23 varsity athletic teams and recreational programs.  The five-year agreement, which begins on July 1, is the first such deal in school history and will be administered by Team Sports Inc. of Holland, Ohio. 

"This is an exciting time to be a part of John Carroll University and the partnership with Under Armour and Team Sports is further evidence," said Blue Streak Assistant Athletic Director for Operations, Russell Houser, who helped negotiate the deal.  "Our students-athletes will be unified under one brand, which strengthens the identity for our athletic department.  Additionally, we will be able to connect with recruits, parents, alums and fans of Blue Streaks Athletics."     

Team Sports Inc. is one of the largest independently owned team dealers in the country. Family owned and operated since 1980, Team Sports, Inc. operates three locations and services customers throughout the Midwest. The company supplies the highest quality uniforms, footwear, apparel, and equipment from all the leading manufacturers in the sporting goods industry.

The deal will provide Blue Streaks student-athletes with access to game uniforms, footwear, sideline apparel, warm-ups, and other sports gear and accessories. Additionally, the deal will outfit members of the athletic and recreation department, including coaches and staff.
