John Carroll looked like a motivated crew Tuesday night at Don Shula Stadium.
A three-goal first half was all the Blue Streaks needed to sail past Baldwin Wallace, 3-0 in a quarterfinal round match of the Ohio Athletic Conference postseason tournament.
After
Grace Monnin tallied a "traditional goal" to open the scoring on a great pass from
Jaclyn Audino, the Blue Streaks used corner kicks in the final five minutes of the opening frame.
Casey Lindstrom authored both assists, with
Claudia Lenhart heading in one and
Kennedy Newhart knocking in the other, the latter coming with just 40 seconds left in the half.
The Blue Streaks had 17 shots compared to Baldwin Wallace's five, and had eight corners to the Yellow Jackets' one.
Danielle DelGuidice had to make just one save all night as the Blue Streaks improved to 10-6-3 on the season.
JCU will play top seeded Ohio Northern in an OAC Tournament semifinal match on Thursday, November 7, at 2:00 p.m.
