Lauren O'Malley reached the rarefied air of 100 career singles victories with her 6-0, 6-0 dismantling of reigning OAC Player of the Week Madison Watt.
O'Malley improved to 100-7 in her career, including 71-3 as the #1 singles player in a dual meet line-up. She also remained undefeated in OAC play, going 25-0 in league regular season singles matches.
Counting singles and doubles, O'Malley has won 163 matches, the most in John Carroll history.
The Blue Streaks won all three doubles matches by 8-0 scores. O'Malley and
Madisyn Rini played at #1,
Megan Reese and
Carlye Campagna played at #2, and
Ellie Cole and
Alyssa Krupp won at #3.
O'Malley (#1), Rini (#2), Campagna (#4) and Krupp (#5) all won by 6-0 6-0 scores in singles play.
JCU improved to 9-3 overall and 4-0 in league play.
