The last time the Knights and the Blue Streaks met, the Blue Streaks won only five events during the dual meet as Gannon prevailed, 124-113. It would be the Golden Knights' sixth consecutive win over John Carroll in six tries.
This time would be different.
John Carroll took home the over Gannon, winning tonight's meet, 142-013, marking the Blue Streaks' first victory over Gannon in the history of the series.

John Carroll showed Gannon that starting the night out winning the 400 Medley Relay.

Matt Ramsey finished just a mere three seconds before the A-Team of Gannon, who finished at 3:31.22.Â
Sophomore
Erik Sriubas took home both the 1000 Free (10:05.14) and the 200 Fly (1:56.28) at tonight's meet, contributing to his team's points.

Forrest Campbell and Jake Farr packed a 1-2 punch in the 200 Free, claiming both first and second place spots, respectively.Â
In a battle of the seniors,
Matt Ramsey came just after Gannon's Brent Benedict in the 50 Free, placing second in the race.Â
Freshman
Liam McDonnell touched the wall first in the 200 IM with a time of 2:00.39. McDonnell also tied with teammate
Jonathan Simoes for second place, touching the wall in 1:59.10 for the 200 Yard Backstroke.Â
John Carroll swept both the 100 Free and the 200 Breaststroke, scoring in the top three places. With the 100 Free
Matt Ramsey (48.58),
Michael Heller (48.67), and Jake Farr (49.00) all finished first, second, and third respectively. With the 200 Breaststroke, Jonah Venos (2:15.78),
Mason Beck (2:16.62), and Nick Murdry (2:17.25) filled the pool with blue and gold, leaving no room for Gannon in the top three scoring positions.
Jack Lausin won the 3-meter diving competition with 195.70 points.
John Carroll wanted to make sure that the meet was not going to be close, like last year. The Blue Steak "A" Relay consisting of Jake Farr,
Michael Heller, Aidan O'Neil, and
Forrest Campbell finished second in the 400-yard Freestyle Relay to end the night on a high note.Â
With this win, the Blue Streaks remain undefeated, moving to 4-0 so far this season. John Carroll will be back in the Johnson Natatorium next Saturday, January 18th, to take on the Yellow Jackets of Baldwin Wallace University at 1:00 pm.Â
