UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio -- For the second straight year, seven John Carroll University Men's Soccer Players earned All-OAC Recognition after winning their fourth consecutive OAC Championship.

Senior Benjamin Hryszko was named OAC Forward-of-the-Year for his outstanding efforts this season.

Hryszko finished his regular season with 19 points and eight goals, including four game-winning goals. The Strongsville native is the first JCU player to win the OAC Forward of the Year since 2007, when Alex Bernot captured this honor. Chris Heslep is the only other winner, doing so in 2001, 2002, and 2003.

Izac Coleman, Hryszko, and Will Turrittin all captured First Team recognition, while Jared Ianiro and Connor Robinson tabbed a spot on the Second Team.

John Carroll's leaders of the defensive wall, Chase Fernkorn and Stephen Schutt, notched a spot on the All-OAC Third Team for their performance.

Turrittin is no stranger to being recognized by the OAC. He was also acknowledged as All-OAC First Team in 2018, 2019 and 2020-21. Hryszko's First Team recognition is his second consecutive after receiving 2020-21 First Team All-OAC in the spring.

John Carroll's stellar goalkeeper, Robinson, received All-OAC Honorable Mention in 2019 and 2020-21. Robinson has led the team from the back posting eight shutouts, .35 goals-against average and a .848 save percentage. Robinson has only allowed five goals throughout the whole season. He led the OAC in boths goals-against average and save percentage.

The Blue Streaks will continue into their postseason on Saturday, Nov. 13, at 11 am. John Carroll will open up the NCAA Tournament facing Bethany (WV).
