The Blue Streaks will face Bethany at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 13. Johns Hopkins and Penn State-Harrisburg will play later at 1:30 pm on the same day. The winners of both matches will face off the next day on Sunday, November 14 at 3:30 pm in the second round at Don Shula Stadium.

JCU earned their eighth ever automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament with the win over the Cardinals on Saturday. Benjamin Hryszko was the hero, scoring a header off a beautiful cross from Nicholas Graeca. The Blue Streaks will host the first two rounds at Don Shula Stadium for the third straight NCAA Tournament. In 2018 and 2019, John Carroll also hosted the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament, losing in 2018 to Penn State-Behrend 1-0 in double OT, and Centre 3-1 in 2019, both in the second round.

Bethany finished the regular season 7-7-1, but has won five straight matches. Three of the wins were in the PAC Tournament, highlighted by a 3-1 victory over Franciscan in the championship match to claim their 31st PAC title and first since 2001.

Johns Hopkins comes into the tournament on a two game losing streak, but both were to teams that made the NCAA Tournament in Franklin & Marshall and Gettysburg. The Blue Jays finished #1 in the Centennial Conference regular season before falling to Gettysburg 4-1 in the tournament semifinals.

Penn State-Harrisburg has not lost a match since September 14 when they were defeated by Franklin & Marshall. Their 8-game win streak propelled them to a UEC Tournament Championship after defeating Penn State-Abington and Lancaster Bible.

John Carroll is 3-1-2 against teams that made the NCAA Tournament this season, and two wins in two days would send them to the third round for only the second time in program history and first since 2003.
