MARIETTA, Ohio -- A lengthy offseason ended and a shortened 2021 season began on Saturday.

The road win saw John Carroll won all six singles competitions and all three doubles competitions, allowing just 5 points in 9 matches.

Megan Reese assumed the role of the No. 1 singles spot, and did great work. The junior from Massillon Jackson swept the matchup, 6-0, 6-0.

Alyssa Krupp bested Marietta's Destiny Grim at No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-0. Freshman Mia Zivkovic earned her first collegiate win at No. 3, 6-0, 6-0. At the No. 4 spot, Skye Harwood bested India Flores, 6-0, 6-1.

Emily Day bested Abby Ketchum at No. 5 with a 6-0, 6-0 conquest. Jaclyn Voss upended her foe at No. 6 with a 6-0, 6-1 victory to wrap up the singles sweep for John Carroll.

Harwood and Reese formed an unbeatable tandem at the No. 1 doubles spot, 8-0. The Blue Streaks combined Krupp and Zivkovic at No. 2, 8-1. Day and Voss worked together at No. 3 and did great work in a 8-0 win.
