UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio -- For the second straight year, John Carroll Men's Lacrosse can lay claim to an All-American.

On Thursday, Kevin Hack was earmarked as an Honorable Mention All-American by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA).

Hack makes the cut for the 2022 Dynamic Division III All-Americans list, following in the footsteps of Skyler Blake and Clayton Karam, who garnered the honor last season.

In his fifth season in University Heights, Hack made a major impact. The Toledoan was a key cog in the offensive engine for the Blue Streaks all season long. The veteran midfielder did it all, scoring, setting up the offense with beautiful assists, and aiding the defensive effort when needed.

For the season, Hack finished second on the squad with 49 goals. The St. Francis de Sales graduate added 22 assists, totaling 71 assists for the season. His efforts earned him the Ohio Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year award.

Additionally, Hack registered 37 groundballs and 18 caused turnovers. His 5 groundball effort vs. Ohio Northern on April 15 helped JCU hand ONU its first conference loss of the year. Hack also snagged First Team All-OAC accolades.

Hack heralded the offense in many key games. Most notably, Hack tallied hat tricks in both the OAC Championship vs. Baldwin Wallace and in the NCAA Second Round vs. Union. The veteran presence he brought was absolutely invaluable.

For his career, Hack stacks up well with the greats. He finishes tied for first in games played with 75. A man-up machine, he is second all-time in powerplay goals with 25. In overall goals, Hack is third with 132. For points, he finishes in fourth with 187. And finally, he completes his career fifth in goals per game (1.76) and assists (55).

After earning his MBA, Hack is now pursuing a job in the finance industry.

"I couldn't be more proud of him," said Head Coach Joe Rautenstrauch. "He was an absolute machine for us on the field and helped us establish our culture off the field. His contributions helped to build a great foundation for our program. I'm thankful for Kevin, and he'll be missed next year."
