Men's Cross Country Captures 4th Place at Mike Woods Invitational

Geneseo, NY – The varsity men's cross country team traveled to western New York for the 43rd annual Mike Woods Invitational, hosted by SUNY Geneseo. The men secured an impressive 4th place finish, scoring a total of 115 points against a highly competitive field.

Men's 8k Results

The day ended well for the Blue Streaks, as they enjoyed beautiful weather and a fast course, resulting in numerous personal and season bests. Senior Ryan Champa led the team with a season-best performance of 24:38, placing 11th on the 8,000m course. Following closely was senior Barrett Scheatzle, who posted a strong time of 24:40 to finish 15th overall. Dom Delmoro came in 20th with a time of 24:56, and senior Tommy Naiman achieved a season-best of 25:09 for a 27th place finish. Rounding out the top five was Aidan Stone, finishing 50th in 25:26.

Nate Julien (25:38), Joey Naiman (26:02), and Phil Coury (26:04) also delivered solid performances, demonstrating the depth and talent of the men's team.

The Blue Streaks are set to compete next at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships on November 6th in Findlay, OH, hosted by Heidelberg University.
