Men's Cross Country Earns At-Large Bid To The 2024 NCAA Division III Cross Country National Championships
UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, OH - After securing a second place finish at the 2024 NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Championships hosted by Franklin University in Shelbyville, Indiana, the Blue Streaks have earned one more week to compete on the biggest stage.

This is now the fifth consecutive NCAA appearance for the men since 2019 that they have qualified for the National Championships. Previously, for the past three years, the men have won the Great Lakes Region and have earned automatic bids.

The men scored 112 points to secure a second place finish having four individuals earn Great Lakes All-Region honors.

"I'm excited for the men to advance to the NCAA Championships in Terre Haute," emphasized Steve Fuelling, Head Cross Country/Assistant Track & Field Coach at John Carroll University. "This will be the fourth time in a row for our seniors. They have made it the standard in the program to be at this meet and represent John Carroll on the national stage."

In 2023 at the National Championships, the Blue Streaks placed 20th overall in the race led by Ryan Champa, who earned individual All-American honors by placing 37th for the team.

They will look to improve upon that finish from last year and make more history for the program led by experienced veterans. In addition, there will be a few individuals who will be making their first appearance on the national stage.

The men's 8k championship race will take place this Saturday, November 23rd at 12:00pm ET at the LaVern Gibson Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Indiana hosted by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
