| By:
DANVILLE, Ky. - This weekend provided strong competition for John Carroll Women's Swimming & Diving.

The Blue Streaks participated in a two-day, three-meet weekend at the Battle in the Bluegrass.

The Blue Streaks continue to show up and show out with their swims this season. Many of the freshmen had incredible swims with little to no break between each different meet.

JCU lost to DePauw, 138-99, lost to Centre, 164-679, and defeated Lynchburg, 136-49.

Head Coach Mark De Swardt and Assistant Coach Maddie Dolce were both impressed with the team's performances over the challenging weekend.

Several of the Women presented with strong meets including but not limited to Mairin Dalziel in her sprint freestyle, JJ Gowetski's Individual Medley, Audrey Sevald's 200 Yard Back, and Ella Muzychak's strong distance performances were the highlights of the weekend.

Each swimmer had the opportunity to compete in events they will be competing in at the upcoming Kenyon Invite, and practice different race strategies.

The team has had a great build-up so far this season and is hoping it will translate to success at the OAC championships in February
