WEST LAFAYETTE – Spring has sprung and John Carroll Men's Golf is back to competing against Ohio Athletic Conference teams.

In the OAC Spring Preview, the Blue Streaks enjoyed a strong performance with a tally of 291.

In doing so, the Blue Streaks finished second at River Greens, posting very excellent scores for early April and for any golfer.

Zach Brinks topped the team with a fantastic score with a 71. A star member of the community, it's great to see the Cincinnati native score tie for third in a packed field.

Wade Boyle notched a similarly marvelous score of 72, good enough to be in the top ten for JCU. London Hoyser carded a 73 for JCU's next counting score.

Wrapping things up for the last score, Austin Malley fired up a 75. Grant Lumley rounded out the JCU top squad with a 76.

John Carroll trotted out three high-scoring individuals, too, underscoring the impressive depth that exists in the Men's Golf program.

Jacob Hazen shared the joy of a -1, as the Dublin native tied with Brinks for the honor and thus third place. And joining him in the great effort was Kamden Mowry, as the freshman phenom, who compiled a 71 in another strong display for the Blue & Gold.

Jack Gerborg completed the trio, carding par and ensuring his place in the top.

Following this excellent showing today, John Carroll will be back in action on Sunday. The Blue Streaks will head to the Muskingum Zanesville Invitational.
