Men's Tennis Falters at Oberlin

The Blue Streaks lost in a tough matchup with the Yeomen

OBERLIN, Ohio – The early-season skid continued for John Carroll Men's Tennis on Saturday.

Forced indoors due to weather, the Blue Streaks faced off with future NCAC for Oberlin College on the road.

John Carroll dropped a 7-0 decision to the Yeomen, falling to 1-6 on the season.

Anthony Markello and Dylan Westmeyer battled closely in the top doubles spot, as the veterans lost an oh-so-close 6-4 loss. The other two doubles matches were lost by wider margins, as Oberlin rolled en route to picking up the team doubles point.

Markello dropped the top bout at #1 singles, 2-6, 2-6. Phillip Gorun also scored some but lost in a similar 2-6, 1-6 decision at #3.

Westmeyer and Luis Wentz lost by identical 2-6, 0-6 scores at #2 and #4.
