John Carroll found warmer weather in North Carolina

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. – While most of us experienced a topsy-turvy weather weekend in Northeast Ohio, John Carroll Men's Golf enjoyed a calmer go of it in North Carolina.

The Blue Streaks competed at the 52nd Annual Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate. JCU and 23 other teams competed on the Paradise Point Gold course, a par 72 course with a yardage of 6,851.

During the three-day tournament, the Blue Streaks finished in 13th place in a solid showing. JCU finished with a final line of 297-300-302-899.

Final Results

Kamden Mowry and Austin Malley tied for the team lead for the three-day event with scores of 223. Mowry was consistent, with scores of 75 on both Friday and Saturday, before chipping off a couple strokes from his score of 73 on Sunday. Malley experienced more of an up-and-down time, starting with a 74, then popping up to a 77, and finally finishing strong with a 72.

London Hoyser stood third on the list for the Blue Streaks. After a 76 on Friday, the sophomore fired the best score by a Blue Streak with a 71 (-1) on Saturday, but then carded an 81 on Sunday. He ended with a mark of 228.

Michael Keefe tabbed a statline of 83-77-76-236. Carson Meyer registered a mark of 72-83-83-238.
