The Blue Streaks registered a team score of 291 on the first 18 holes on Pines & Greens and posses a tally of 143 halfway through the second round on River & Pines.

London Hoyser was the star of the show during the first 18 holes. The sophomore roared out of the gates with birdies on No. 1 and 3, four birdies in total in the first nine holes for a remarkable 32 (-4) for starters. After trouble on No. 10, the Pittsford, New York native fired home an eagle on the par-5, 504-yard No. 12. For the round, Hoyser tallied a one-under-par 71. Hitting par on all but one hole on his final nine, Hoyser sports a 36 (+1) so far through round two. Hoyser is second in the field, four strokes behind Otterbein's Ian Morgan (-4).

Kamden Mowry also excelled during the opening day, especially early. Birdies on No. 5, 6, and 8 got him on a roll, eventually leading to a first-round score of 74 (+2). A pair of birdies on his final nine ensured a strong finish, as well. The Ashland native notched a 34 (-1) at the halfway mark of the second round, placing him in a tie for fourth in the field at one-over-par.

Michael Keefe traded birdies and bogeys throughout his first 18 holes, but the results were overall very good. The Milford, Massachusetts native snagged a 73 in round one, highlighted by back-to-back birdies on Holes 11 and 12. The junior avoided trouble to start the second round, and finished well with birdies on Holes 7 and 8, heading into the back nine of round two with a 36. At two-over-par for the day, Keefe is tied for seventh.

Daniel Donahue provided the final counting score in the first round. The sophomore galloped out of the gates, with four birdies in his first nine, avoiding any bogeys in an impressive 32 (-4) for starters. Unfortunately, the Pittsburgher found trouble in the back nine, but still turned in a 73 (+1) for the round, a very good score. Entering the final nine of the second round, Donahue possesses a 38 (+3). He is 14th in the field after Friday's action.

Austin Malley rounded out the crew for JCU. The sophomore stumbled at times, but still looked strong overall, tallying a birdie on three occasions. The Venetia, PA native carded a 76 (+4) in the opening round, still nothing to sneeze at. Malley ended his day on a high note with a birdie on No. 9, taking a 37 (+2) in the back half of round two tomorrow.
