Dakota Houston Wins NCAC Women's Field Athlete Of The Week After Performance At JCU Alumni Meet
CLEVELAND – In her second meet of the indoor track & field season, the Beachwood native collects another conference accolade.

After breaking the indoor long jump school record with a mark of 5.82 meters (19' 1.25") and placing first overall, Dakota Houston picked up her second NCAC Athlete of the Week honor; this time in the field events.

Houston currently sits tied for third in NCAA Division III and first in the North Coast Athletic Conference with that mark and now earns her third school record just a few weeks into the 2025-2026 campaign.

Dakota is starting this indoor season off on a high note as she is in at least the top three in events including the long jump, 60 meter dash, and 200 meter dash in the country.

The women's track & field team will return to action this Saturday, January 24th at home for the Hayden Snow/Leo Miller Meet of Champions in the Athletic Wellness & Event Center (AWE). Field events are scheduled for 11:45 AM, followed by the track events set to start at 1:45 PM.
