Weekend Preview: January 23-25, 2026

Track & Field will host a bigtime home meet in the AWE on Saturday

Winter is in full force, as all JCU winter teams are back in action this weekend. 

Here's what to expect on a snowy weekend that's impacting schedules:

Indoor Track and Field

JCU Track & Field is thrilled for the weekend ahead, hosting the Leo Miller/Hayden Snow Meet of Champions.

The Blue Streaks will be excited to be in the Athletic Wellness and Event Center. Field Events starting at 11 am and Track Events will open at 1:45 pm on Saturday.

Swimming and Diving

The Blue Streaks are back in the pool to compete for the first time in 2026. For starters, John Carroll will face Oberlin College in a North Coast Athletic Conference dual on Friday at 6 pm in Oberlin. 

The Blue Streaks return to action on Saturday for the 2026 Cleveland Classic at Cleveland State against the Vikings and the Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets at 3 pm. 

Men's Basketball

The Blue Streaks are looking forward to extending their win streak in conference play after a 3-game win streak.

JCU Men's Basketball will play Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana, at 12 pm on Saturday. The gametime was moved forward due to the weather expected. 

Women's Basketball

JCU Women's Basketball is looking for another win to extend their winning ways this weekend against the Wittenberg University Tigers. 

The Blue Streaks will play the Tigers in Springfield OH at 12 pm on Saturday, pushed forward on account of the wintry weather en route. 

Women's Wrestling

The Blue Streaks will head over to Fort Wayne, Indiana to the Indiana Tech Open.

JCU Women's Wrestling will compete on Friday starting at 2 pm and Saturday starting at 9 am. 


Men's Wrestling

JCU Men's Wrestling is looking to tab some more success at the Jamestown Open in Jamestown, NY. The meet will start at 8:30 am on Saturday. 

Club Hockey

JCU Club Hockey will travel to Robert Morris University on Friday, January 23 for a match at 8:45pm.

Later this weekend Club Hockey will travel to Mercyhurst University on Sunday for a match at 5 pm, weather permitting.
