AUBURNDALE, FL. – The John Carroll baseball team was shutout for eight innings against a strong pitching effort, but in the ninth inning JCU scored four runs including a walk-off single by Michael Pollard.

The Thunder added a run of insurance in the ninth with another sacrifice.

In the bottom of the ninth, is when the magic started and it was when Jake Monaco stepped into the box and worked a walk on a 3-2 count.

Following a wild pitch, Konner Hauck singled up the middle to knock Monaco in. George Haracz stepped into the batter's box and was down in the count 1-2 but found a way to single through the left side.

Ethan Glossa reached on an error by the shortstop and loaded up the bases with zero outs putting the pressure on Trine.

After a swinging strike out, Dominic Trivisonno drew a four-pitch walk to make it a one run game with the winning run on second.
