NCAA Performance List

It has been an incredible season for the Blue Streaks and now they have earned the opportunity to extend their season for one more week after earning a conference title for the first time since 2021.

Sophomore Dakota Houston returns for her second indoor national meet of her career. Last season, she placed seventh overall with a time of 7.62 seconds in the 60 meter dash, earning First-Team All-American honors; the first one of her career.

At the NCAC Championships, Dakota became a four-time All-Conference sprinter/jumper and earned two championships in the long jump and 60 meter dash races.

Going into this year, she will be competing in three events and will look to make a huge contribution to the point total for JCU. Houston is ranked in the top 10 for all three events.

Making her indoor national meet debut will be senior Alyssa Vis after placing third overall at the NCAA Final Qualifier hosted at Wartburg College this past weekend. Her time of 4:56.09 with a conversion of 4:53.19 puts her at 20th in Division III.

For the program, Vis has broken the mile school record twice this season and was named First-Team All-NCAC in the event at the conference championships.

These two individuals have been instrumental in what the team has accomplished this year and they will look to continue their push of making even more historical marks for the program next weekend against the very best in Division III.

Meet information and schedule will be posted this evening, followed by a meet preview the day before the national championships.
