Men’s Track & Field Competes At Mount Union Classic

Men's Track & Field Travels To Alliance, Ohio For The Mount Union Class This Past Thursday
ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Blue Streaks traveled to the University of Mount Union this past Thursday to earn some final qualifying marks for the outdoor conference championships.

With just a few events to go, a lightning delay would cancel the meet for the rest of the day.

Some of the most notable performances are posted below:

Moose Frombach (Discus Throw): 43.58 (142' 11")
Carson Harrod (110 Meter Hurdles): 15.20
Vincent Ononogbo (400 Meter Dash): 51.55
Max Grillo (800 Meter Run): 1:55.23
Tony Tirado (400 Meter Hurdles): 54.26
Jakson Mazzulo (400 Meter Hurdles): 58.42
Joe Weatherspoon Jr. (Triple Jump): 12.71 (41' 8.5")
Cole Mayer (Shot Put): 14.41 (47' 3.5")

Several athletes placed themselves in the top 10 in their events, followed by new personal bests as well. 

Moose Frombach earned two new personal bests in the discus throw (43.58 meters) and hammer throw (47.43 meters) to help gain momentum. 

Carson Harrod ran 14.99 seconds in the 110 meter hurdle prelim, leading to a seventh place finish in the final. 

Joe Weatherspoon Jr. placed third overall in the men's triple jump with a mark of 12.71 meters.

With just one meet left to go in the regular season, the men's track & field team will now prepare for championship competition taking place next week.

The Blue Streaks will travel to Ashland University for the Ashland Alumni Invite this Saturday, April 25th, just one week before the 2026 NCAC Outdoor Championships at Kenyon College.
