Riley Knapp Scores NCAC Athlete of the Week Honors

Knapp did it all in guiding the Blue Streaks to the team's first NCAC win

CLEVELAND – Whatever you need, Riley Knapp is your player.

Draw controls? Look out for #7. Winning a battle for a groundball? No problem. Hoping for a goal? Check.

The do-it-all star of John Carroll Women's Lacrosse is the North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week.

Knapp excelled in all aspects on Saturday to help power the Blue Streaks' victory over DePauw in the program's first NCAC conquest. JCU rolled easily, 18-4.

The Cazenovia, New York led all players with 7 draw controls and 6 groundballs on a warm day at Don Shula Stadium. The junior netted a hat trick, and the speedster also added 2 caused turnovers.

At times, Knapp has played more of a defensive role this season than in the past. She's tied for fourth with 15 goals, so she scores plenty, but her other statistics jump off the page.

Namely, Knapp stands tops on the team with 44 draw controls and 4.88 draw controls per game, which rates second in the conference. The Sports Information worker also stands top-10 in the NCAC in caused turnovers per game (1.67, 8th) and groundballs per game (2.33, 9th).

Knapp has now claimed three weekly conference honors, previously winning accolades on 2/24/25 and 4/14/25. Knapp is also a reigning IWLCA All-Region Second Team and College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection.

Knapp and the Blue Streaks are back in action tonight at Oberlin College at 6 pm.
