Tyler Gast & Basheer Alramahi Advance To Saturday’s Final In 400 Meter Dash Prelim On Second Day Of NCAAs

LA CROSSE, WI. – Blue Streaks Track & Field keeps on rolling into the finals!

The men's track & field team returned to the track for the second day of the NCAA Outdoor Championships hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

After securing spots in both the men's 1500 and the 4x400 meter relay, the men will be even more represented this Saturday. 

NCAA Outdoor Championships Day Two - Full Results

The lone event on tap today for JCU was the men's 400 meter dash preliminary round. 

In the second heat, both Tyler Gast and Basheer Alramahi placed third and fourth overall, just enough to qualify for the finals tomorrow. 

Gast earned a new personal best of 46.93, while Alramahi clocked in at 47.00 both placing fifth and sixth overall in the event. 

Both seniors will look to end their JCU careers on a high note and  place high against the very best in Division III. 

Next Up
The Blue Streaks will be competing on day three of the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the finals including the 1500 meter run (Sam Su), 400 meter dash (Tyler Gast & Basheer Alramahi), and the men's 4x400 meter relay (Gast, Arnold, Tirado, and Alramahi).
