UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS – Four smart Blue Streaks have earned academic honors for getting the job done in the classroom as well as athletically.

On Tuesday, the College Sports Communicators released the 2026 Academic All-District At-Large Team, featuring four Blue Streaks who achieved above a 3.5 cumulative GPA while reaching the necessary athletic participation milestones.

Nicholas Gonzalez, Richard Moran, and Nicholas Yemma represent JCU Men's Lacrosse while Austin Malley reps JCU Men's Golf.

Both Malley and Yemma are repeat customers for this award.

Austin Malley helped to anchor the JCU golfers, steering the Streaks all the way to the NCAA Division III Championships. The Venetia, Pennsylvania native snagged Second Team All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors after helping to bring home the NCAC Championship. For the season, Malley averaged a 74.4 in 21 total rounds, ending the year ranked #208 nationally. In the fall, he won medalist honors at the Jeff Roope Invitational and twice earned NCAC Athlete of the Week recognition.
