John Carroll Club Hockey has Strong Showing Against #24 Davenport, Continues to Grow Into Potential

Defenseman Henry Cseh had a 5-point weekend, which leads defensemen in points for JCU and College Hockey Mid America.

JCU Club Hockey falls in the weekend series to #24 Davenport, but the team continues to develop its young talented roster.

GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN - JCU Club Hockey put up a strong fight against #24 ranked Davenport University, but ultimately came up short in the two-game weekend series on the road, falling 4-3 on Friday and 5-3 on Saturday to the Panthers.

The Blue Streaks continue to develop a young roster in non-conference play, but it was the veterans who led the way in terms of scoring in the series. Graduate defenseman Henry Cseh had a 2 goal weekend, scoring once in either game and recording 4 total points in the entire series. Cseh now leads defensemen in terms of points both for John Carroll as well as College Hockey Mid America.

Additionally, junior forward Colin Cronin continues his solid run of form, recording 3 points across the weekend series, including a goal to open the scoring on the powerplay for John Carroll. Cronin has 11 points this season, leading the Blue Streaks in terms of points on the season so far. The junior also has 3 powerplay goals so far, leading all of the American Collegiate Hockey Association for powerplay goals.

The Blue Streaks are back at home for another two-game series against a ranked opponent, taking on Grand Valley State University at Gilmour Academy.
