The second annual John Carroll University Soccer Classic took place at Don Shula Stadium on the weekend of September 5-6, 2008, and featured a brand new twist in year two.
The inaugural tournament held in 2007 featured for men's teams, but the 2008 edition brought together four men's and four women's teams for a total of eight matches staged over the two-day event.
This year's field was also geographically diverse. In addition to the host school, the women's bracket consisted of Olivet College of Michigan, Anderson University of Indiana and Culver-Stockton College of Missouri. The men's foursome included John Carroll, Anderson, Culver-Stockton and Rochester College of Michigan.
