Practice Times

  • Mats will be available 6-8pm on Saturday and beginning at 7am on Sunday.  
  • Please coordinate with wrestling@jcu.edu to schedule use of mats.

8:45 AM – Medical Examinations 

9:00 AM – Weigh-ins 

11:00 AM – Wrestling Begins 

 

Medical Examinations and Weigh-ins

  • Weigh-ins will be conducted on the mats in the gym
  • Please coordinate with the opponent for your first dual and conduct medical examinations and weigh-ins together



Match Schedule

  • There will be 3 mats.  The first three duals will start on mats 1-3.  The following duals will begin immediately on the first available mat.
  • John Carroll will wrestle on mat 3 all day.

Extra Countable Matches
  • We encourage teams to get extra individual matches all day. 
  • If you are wrestling a team in a dual meet, communicate with the opposing coach to set up matches.  Let the table workers know and they will add the matches and wrestle at the end of the dual meet.
  • If you are not wrestling a team in a dual meet, we will set up a match list and work those matches in between duals when a mat is idle.

Locker Rooms
  • Locker rooms will be available for changing and showers
  • Locker rooms will not be secure so teams should keep their bags in the designated team area

Team Area
  • The designated team area will be the upper balcony on the far side of the gym (the side opposite of the concession stand)
  • Please keep all food and drinks in the team area

Hospitality Room
  • Food and drink will be available in the Blue Gold Room (room overlooking the gym)
  • Hospitality is for coaches, athletic trainers, officials, and table workers only

  •  Live scoring and results will be available through Track Wrestling

Driving

  • John Carroll University is located at 1 John Carroll Boulevard, University Heights, Ohio 44118.
  • The Tony DeCarlo Varsity Center is located just off South Belvoir Boulevard on the southern half of campus.


Team Drop Off / Pick Up

  • Vans and buses can drop off teams outside the DeCarlo Varsity Center on S. Belvoir Blvd.
  • Vans and small buses can park follow parking instructions below
  • If you have a charter bus, please contact kkonte@jcu.edu for information about parking


Parking

  • Please use this map as a guide
  • Park in the "Dolan East Lot, Carroll Expansion Lot, or the Boler Lot - all labeled "Parking" on the map.
  • Once you park, you can walk through the quad and enter on the west side of the Recreation Complex
