The junior learned the JCU defensive scheme during his junior season at JCU. 

Collegiate Career Prior to JCU
Earned honorable mention All-OAC accoloades in 2013 after leading the league with five interceptions ... One of those interceptions was against John Carroll on the opening drive of the game (10/5/13) ... Played in all ten games that year and led his team with nine passes defended … Ended the year with 37 tackles (25 solo)… Saw action in four games in 2012 ... Posted his first collegiate interception in the Crusaders’ 13-7 triumph over Marietta (9/15/12) ... Transferred to Capital after one year at Ohio Dominican, where he played baseball.

Played football and baseball at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School ... Played football for coach Dan Boarman ...  Played in 2010 Summit County Thanksgiving Day All Star Game ... Team reached state playoffs in both his junior and senior year ... Irish advanced to regional semifinals in his senior season.
