Greg Cielec begins his 13th year on the JCU staff.

For the sixth consecutive year, will coach the varsity and junior varsity running backs. His extensive coaching background includes stints at Padua, Avon Lake, Cuyahoga Heights, and Streetsboro High Schools.

The author of critically acclaimed and best-selling novel My Cleveland Story also released his second novel, Home and Away Games, in April of 2007.

He played high school football under current Detroit Lions assistant coach and JCU graduate Chuck Priefer. Spent two years at CWRU with current JCU head coach Regis Scafe tutoring the offensive line and the offensive backs.

A 1980 graduate of Ohio Wesleyan, Cielec received a Master's of Education degree from Cleveland State in 1984.
