Joe Kasper

Joe Kasper commences his first season as a member of the John Carroll coaching staff, assigned with tutoring the wide receivers for the Blue Streaks in 2017.

A former high school football player at nearby Mentor High School (graduated in 2011), Kasper continued
his playing career at Baldwin Wallace University. He spent three seasons as a free safety with the Yellow Jackets, and was recognized as a Capital One Academic All American following his junior season.

Kasper took the opportunity to bypass his senior season for an opportunity to work with the Cleveland Browns of the National Football league. He first started as a summer intern with the Browns in 2013, before transitioning to a player development role from 2014-2015. In this capacity, Kasper worked hand in hand with the personnel staff, scouting, interviewing draft prospects, and conducting intelligence/ personality tests. In season, he worked with legendary running backs coach Wilbert Montgomery, assisting him in addition to assisting in the Rookie Development program and maintaining responsibilities associated with the personnel staff.

In 2015, Kasper returned to the sidelines at Mentor High as the team’s Defensive Backs coach as well as the school’s Discipline Coordinator.

Simultaneously, he teamed up with current University Hospitals Psychiatrist Dr. Mayur Pandya
to create Ace Sports Psychiatry, a private psychiatric/ psychological care firm meant to cater specifically to professional athletes. Joe is currently the Player Development Liaison Consultant with ACE.
