John Carroll University Athletics

Beginning his fifth year on the JCU staff, and his second as an intern, is John Massinen. After playing his first two years for the Blue Streaks, he made the best of an injury situation by assisting the coaching staff in a variety of roles; he served as a defensive quality coach as well as the video coordinator for the program. Massinen will assist Brian Cochran with the defensive line this year.

 He is a 2007 graduate of John Carroll with a degree in exercise science and played his high school football for JCU alum Chuck Kyle at Cleveland St. Ignatius.
